Male Arrested Following Overnight Police Helicopter Activity

A male has been arrested following an incident in Caia Park last night – with the reason why the police helicopter was out last night explained.

Late last night a number of people contacted Wrexham to say that the LLPD chopper had been seen / heard hovering over parts of Wrexham.

The police helicopter was seen hovering over Wrexham shortly after 10pm and seemed to largely be seen over the Caia Park and Hightown areas.

Officers have also been seen searching the fields near Hafod-y-Wern school this morning.

Sergeant Simon Kneale tweeted this morning regarding the incident, saying: “Male arrested following incident in Caia Park last night.Police Helicopter involved.Officers searching for an item this morning. #goodarrest”
