Dee Valley Water have confirmed that water supplies in the Rossett area have been restored following the earlier mains burst.

A statement published by Dee Valley Water says: “The repair to the burst water main at Parkside, Rossett has now been completed and water supplies should slowly return to normal.

Our inspectors will continue to flush the mains but some properties may experience discoloured or aerated (milky or white looking) water.

“If this occurs, please run at your cold kitchen tap until clear. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.”

Original Story: A mains leak has affected a number of properties in Rossett and the surrounding areas this morning.

Low pressure in the area was reported shortly after 6:30am, with a statement later posted by Dee Valley Water explaining that there has been a mains leak ‘located and isolated to a smaller area at Parkside, Rossett’.

The statement continues onto say: “Our engineers are in the process of making repairs to the burst main. Properties at Parkside may experience no water until repairs are made. At present we expect repairs to be completed in 5-6 hours.

“It is possible following the initial burst that properties in Holt, Farndon, Churton, Rossett, Lavister, Trevalyn, Pulford, Dodleston and Eccleston may experience discoloured or aerated water.

“If this occurs, please run at your cold kitchen tap until clear. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.:
