Don’t be late for a very important date – Wrexham Library is hosting a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party to raise money for Comic Relief on Friday 15th March from 3pm.

The children’s library will be transformed into a topsy-turvy wonderland as the staff will be joined by local actors to perform a special themed story time at 4pm.

In partnership with the Wrexham Library café there will be tea, coffee and plenty of cakes for sale for children and adults alike to enjoy.

Shan Cooper, Children’s Librarian at Wrexham Library said ‘This year we want to do something funny for money that all our customers can join in with too. We’re encouraging children and adults to don their favourite fancy dress costume and come down and join in the fun with stories, jokes and refreshments.’

Cllr Hugh Jones, Lead Member for Communities, Collaboration and Partnerships said “I’m delighted that the Wrexham Library team are championing Comic Relief this year. Library events such as these offer children a chance to enjoy timeless classics like Alice in Wonderland in a fun learning environment and encourages them to visit their local library on a regular basis.”

The event will also be attended by the Deputy Mayor Cllr David Bithell OBE and Deputy Mayoress Mrs Virginia Bithell.
