An independent store specialising in local crafts and eco-household products has celebrated its grand opening.

The Old Milk Bar, in Chirk, is a Community Interest Company created by Lynsey Kassam and Neera Vyas.

The pair wanted a space where local creatives could come together to sell their crafts and showcase their talent.

Run by volunteers the store celebrated its official opening on December 2.

The Old Milk Bar also aims to have a low environmental impact.

Both passionate about sustainable living Lynsey and Neera spotted a gap in the market and have included an eco-hub in the business.

Lynsey is also putting disability accessibility at the forefront of the project.

With mobility issues herself, she wanted to make sure the shop was accessible for all.

Disabled crafters at The Old Milk Bar also get discounted commission at the shop too.

In the new year they will be renting space for art, craft and well-being workshops.

The Old Milk Bar is open Wednesdays to Saturdays.

More information about The Old Milk Bar can be found on Facebook here.
