Police are investigating after an unknown liquid was thrown from a van and into the face of a child waiting at a bus stop near a Wrexham school.

The incident took place yesterday afternoon at the bus stop on Chester Road in Rossett. The bus stop is well used by pupils at Darland High School.

One parent got in touch yesterday to tell us: “A white van drove past a load of kids in the bus stop outside Darland High School in Rossett and threw liquid into the faces of the children waiting.”

The incident resulted in one boy having badly blood shot eyes and being very distressed, with others stated as being in a similar condition.

The parent told us the van was described as a small white box van with ladders on top.

Police confirm they have had a report of an incident yesterday around 3:45pm involving a single child waiting at a bus stop having liquid thrown at them from a passing van.

Police say their enquiries are ongoing, and are asking any witnesses or anyone with information to call 101 citing reference number V140504.
