“Legitimate plates” found on seized vehicle at Ruthin Road travellers site

Update 12:55pm: North Wales Police have issued a further update following the earlier work on Ruthin Road, “Officers attended the Ruthin Road  site making enquiries about the use of cloned number plates . A suspect vehicle checked by officers  has since been shown to be on legitimate plates. Enquiries continue.”

A large number of police vehicles attended the Ruthin Road travellers site earlier this morning.

Ben told us at 9:20am: “Lots of police activity outside the travellers camp on Ruthin road, traffic backing up. I think I counted around 16 police cars, find alternative route if you can.”

North Wales Police have told us: “Officers attended the Ruthin Road site and seized a vehicle suspected of being involved in a number offences across Wrexham and Cheshire.”
