Officers from Wrexham Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team have seized “a large amount” of cannabis and cash following a drugs warrant.

Police targeted the property in the Acrefair area on Monday.

During the warrant a large amount of herbal cannabis, a significant amount of cash and other associated items were seized.

A local male has been voluntarily interviewed on suspicion of being concerned with the supply of Class B drugs.

Sgt Luke Hughes said: “This is one of a number of proactive operations in response to information from the local community.

“I am pleased that the local residents are confident in our ability to address these issues and I would like to reassure people that anyone coming forward with such information will be dealt with in the strictest confident.

“Taking this amount of drugs and criminal property off the streets makes our communities safer for all.”
