Kellogg’s is giving its 800 frontline factory workers a special one-off bonus payment and an extra day’s holiday for their commitment to feeding the UK in 2020.

Throughout the pandemic Kellogg’s ramped up production of cereal such as Corn Flakes and Coco Pops at its Wrexham and Manchester factories and hired more temporary workers to meet the extra demands as more breakfasts were eaten in the home.

The company also worked with its charity partners, including national charity FareShare, to distribute food made in its factories of over three million servings, which equates to 90,000kg, to food banks, schools, charities and NHS staff nationwide.

Chris Silcock, Kellogg’s UK and Ireland VP said: “Our factory workers really went the extra mile this year keeping things going so we could make enough food to feed the nation and to help our communities.

“As a small gesture of our thanks, we’re giving them a special bonus payment and an extra day off in 2021.”

The company will also shut down its offices for one day in March 2021 to give head office staff an extra holiday too.
