A copy of Jillings Report into North Wales child abuse – previously thought to be pulped with no copies existing – has surfaced for sale on ebay at the same time Flintshire Council have said they are to publish a redacted version.

The eBay listing displays a just about readable page labelled ’50’ from the report, with the comment “The Jillings Report has been sought after by most of the coounties media for over 20 years. Buy it and get ahead

The report that is for sale is listed under Ebay’s Books, Comics & Magazines section, with the subsection being set to “Non-Fiction”.

Flintshire Council have also announced that they intend to publish a ‘redacted’ version of the report on July 8th. We have asked Wrexham Council if they are going to do the same.

Later today Wrexham.com will be reading an unrestricted and unredacted copy of the report in full.

Last month North Wales Police’s Operation Pallial provided an update on their investigation which revealed 76 complainants have provided new allegations to them with a total of 140 complainants relating to time in ‘care’ at eighteen North Wales care homes.
