Shops in Wrexham town centre are getting behind Wrexham FC as they prepare for the FA Cup game against Premier League Stoke on January 4th.

Massive good luck cards have been created and are on display in the town centre for people to sign and add their own messages from today to the 27th.

  • You can find them at:
  • The Co-op on Lord Street
  • Boots in Eagles Meadow
  • Santander in Regent Street
  • Marks and Spencer in Eagles Meadow
  • Wrexham FC’s club shop

Cards will also be making guest appearances in locations around the town over the next two weeks, with the presentation to the club on Sunday 28th at the Forest Green home game that day.

This initiative has been organised by The Co-Operative and Wrexham Council, with the Co-op being the lead corporate champion supporting the ‘Healthy High Streets’ campaign.

The Healthy High Streets came to Wrexham after a successful grant (report here) and is well underway – as our report from last week covered.

Shan Rogers, who is Manager at the Lord Street Co-op said: “This is a great way for all the businesses in the town centre and their customers to show their support for the team ahead of such an important game.”

“Since the Healthy High Streets campaign was launched in Wrexham in September it feels like the town centre businesses are all pulling in the same direction and this is a great example of how we can all worth together for the benefit of the local community.”

Wrexham’s Mayor was the first to sign the card and said: “On behalf of the town I would like to send good luck wishes to Wrexham FC.”

“We are all extremely proud that our local club has reached the FA Cup Third Round and we wish them well in their build up and on the day of the game.”

Remember to tweet us a selfie of you signing the card to @Wrexham! ;)
