Investigation underway after attempted theft leaves horse injured

An investigation is underway after a horse was left injured after an incident in Wrexham over the weekend.

The attempted theft of the horse took place at Legacy Riding Centre which occurred sometime on Saturday 4th January.

NWP Wrexham Rural say that as a result of the incident an elderly horse was injured.

The Wrexham Rural policing said that an equine vet has “checked the horse and he appears to be ok” and that “Horse Watch have been made aware”.

Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or has further information about the incident is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number Y002024.
