‘Intruders at New Build Site’ Triggers Early Morning Police Response

Officers, including armed police were called to called to ‘possible intruders’ at a site in Wrexham early this morning.

Shortly after 3am this morning there were reports that the police helicopter could be heard hovering over parts of Ruthin Road, Wrexham.

One person told Wrexham.com: “What’s occurring on Ruthin Road? Helicopter above there for the last 20 minutes.”

At 3:22am an officer from Wrexham Policing tweeted to say: “Reports of possible intruders on a site in @wrexham, thanks to our rural colleagues, NPAS22 and firearms #oneteam #allexitscovered.”

A spokesperson for North Wales Police this afternoon confirmed: “We had a report of possible intruders at a new build site near Wrexham Maelor Hospital. Officers attended and a search of the area was undertaken. No one was found.”
