The A483 southbound has now reopened following a collision near the Gresford Roundabout this afternoon.

At around 3:15pm this afternoon there were reports of a collision between a lorry and a car on the A483 southbound near Gresford.

As a result of the collision emergency services were diverting traffic off the bypass from the Rossett Junction, resulting in long delays on the bypass and also through Gresford.

A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We were called at about 3.15pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a lorry on the A483 southbound near Gresford, Wrexham.

“A rapid response vehicle attended and a male was given a precautionary check-up at the scene, but did not require hospital treatment.”

As of 4:45pm the road has since reopened, however traffic is still flowing slowly on the southbound carriageway.

Recovery work is underway, with significant damage caused to a white BMW.
