Robbery At Bookmakers In Four Dogs Car Park

Update: Monday An armed robber carrying a hammer is believed to have entered the bookmakers at around 6pm on Saturday and threatened a member of staff before making of with hundreds of pounds in cash.

An incident has taken place at a bookmakers in the Four Dogs pub car park this evening.

Local reports suggest there has been a robbery at Gresford Bookmakers on Box Lane with two police cars currently on the scene.

When Wrexham.com went to have a look police had cordoned off an area around the car park whilst they carried out investigations.

Several members of the public were seen giving witness statements.

@leighj1982 alerted us to the situation, he said: “police cars and police tape in the car park of The Four Dogs where the betting shop is. Anyone know why?”

@dragonfire136 replied suggesting that a robbery had taken place.
