A public exhibition outlining a proposed housing development on part of the Llay Royal British Legion site is to take place this month.

Many residents in Llay have received a letter in the past week inviting them to attend a public exhibition to view ‘plans in respect of The Royal British Legion’s proposals at their site’ on Watts Dyke.

It it noted that the ‘public exhibition will provide residents and local businesses with an opportunity to view the proposals and ask the project team any questions they have about them and offer feedback and suggestions’.

At present the proposed planning application will seek a residential development with a mix of three and four bedroom houses along with a small scale convenience retail unit.

The exact scale of the housing proposals on The Royal British Legion site are not provided – however any development would involve the ‘retention of the existing club and creation of car park’.

The public exhibition will take place at the Royal British Legion Club, Llay on 12 January between 4pm and 8pm.
