The Wrexham Civic Society will be visited by the Holt Community Gardeners at its next meeting.

The organisation will give a presentation on the development of their inspiring, award winning work.

The Holt area has long been known for its light and fertile soils. Holt Community Gardeners have taken full advantage of these conditions to come up with an astounding variety of projects, such as Wales in Bloom, seating areas, adopting an allotment plot, workshop, sculpture, peace garden, wild flowers, contributions to a local food bank, heritage fruit trees, solar and wind generation for heated beds.

The efforts of the Holt Community Gardeners saw them awarded worthy winners of a Commendation in the 2023 Wrexham Area Civic Society Awards.

The meeting of the Society will take place on Thursday 18 January, in St. Giles’ Parish Church, in the South aisle at 7.00pm.

Entrance to the talk is free for all to attend.
