‘Holiday’s’ will not be coming to Wrexham this Christmas with an infamous festive truck not stopping off in the town.

The Coca Cola Truck has visited Wrexham in recent years, making its first appearance in 2014 and again in 2016.

However this year the truck will be driving past the town and visiting neighbouring county, Flintshire instead on Tuesday 11th December.

Locally there is a full festive calendar of events already planned, with the annual Christmas Lights Switch On, Victorian Market and new Festive Village already confirmed.

Wrexham Council have also confirmed free parking in all its car parks for the following Christmas events:

Christmas Light Switch On

Kicking off Wrexham’s festive offering is the return of the popular Christmas Light Switch On which is on November 22nd.

Organised by the Wrexham Rotary Club with the support of the council’s events team, the evening will feature plenty of activities for all the family, live entertainment and of course the switching on of the town’s lights.

Parking in all the council’s town centre car park will be free after 4pm.

Small Business Saturday

Free parking has also been announced for Small Business Saturday – a national event that encourages shoppers and visitors to shop local and support all the independent and small businesses.

To support the event and local businesses, Wrexham Council have confirmed free parking will be free in all its car parks after 10am.

Victorian Market and Late night shopping

Arguably the town’s biggest and most popular Christmas event, the Victorian Market will make its much anticipated return on Thursday December 6th.

As well as taking place in the grounds of St Giles Church, the event will also spill out in the surrounding streets up towards Queens Square for a second year.

With stalls selling everything from festive treats to gifts and food, the event will feature live entertainment and a traditional carousel.

The event also symbolises the start of free parking for late night shopping which will continue on December 13th and 20th when shops are encouraged to stay open late.

Parking will be free after 4pm in all council owned car parks.

*NEW* Christmas Village

A new addition to the town’s festive offering, this year shoppers and visitors will have the chance to visit a three-day Christmas village.

More information is set to be announced soon – however key dates for the diary are December 14th, 15th and 16th.

For the three days parking will be free after 10am in yes you guessed it, all council owned car parks!

Christmas Shopping Week

The final days before Christmas will see parking free after 10am between December 17th and 24th

Don’t miss the opportunity to bag last minute bargains and take advantage of all that’s on offer in the town centre!
