A ‘high street retail parade’ and multi-storey car park could be yours – for little over £2 million!

Six shops at the top end of Regent street are included in the sale documents, which is listed publicly on the Allsop website.

The sale consists of the British Heart Foundation, Deichmann, Shoe Zone, Salvation Army, the now vacant B&M Bargains and ‘The Yard’. The 311 space St Mark’s Car Park just off Regent Street is also included in the sale.

Offers for the lot are being sought in excess £2,450,000.

There’s some interesting facts about ownership in the sale documents, including one store which has over 53 years remaining on lease to Poundstretcher Limited.

The below plan is included with the note: “The area highlighted in pink on the goad identifies the property held long leasehold from the Methodist Church. The upper parts of this highlighted area are occupied by the Methodist Church and are not included in the sale.”

It adds: “The area highlighted in pink on the goad is held long leasehold for a term of 150 years from 01/01/1972 (approximately 104 years remaining). The upper parts are owned separately and are not included in the sale.”

The new Arts Hub is referenced as a plus point for any new investors, saying it will ‘promote town centre living, increase footfall and stimulate Wrexham’s evening economy, all helping to attract visitors to the town’, although it does incorrectly say the development will have a ‘open air cinema and performance space’ which was binned after inclusion in early plans.

The Regent Street / St Marks carpark area was briefly considered as a possible site for the arts hub in the early ideas phase of proposals – as we reported, the below development was ‘not progressed’.
