A main road in Wrexham has flooded following a burst water main this morning – with reports that it could take several hours to repair.

Engineers are currently carrying out emergency repairs on Cefn Road, which has been flooded since around 7am this morning.

An updated statement posted by Dee Valley Water this afternoon, reads: “The repairs are still undergoing. We are expecting for supply to start going back to normal within next 2-3 hours.”

Original Statement: “Our engineers are on site attending to emergency repairs.

“Properties on Cefn Road, Wrexham and surrounding may experience no water whilst repairs are undertaken.

“At present we expect repairs to take 5/6 hours to complete. Following repairs, it is possible that some properties in this area may experience discoloured water.

“If this occurs, please run at your cold kitchen tap until clear. We will try to minimise the disruption as much as possible and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
