Police are urging motorists to avoid the A525 between Bangor-on-Dee and Cross Lanes.

The stretch of road is currently closed off due to flooding after the recent heavy rainfall.

However closure signs being in place, North Wales Police say that some motorists are still attempting to access the road.

A police spokesperson said: “Some motorists are ignoring the road closure signs and trying to drive through.

“However, it is impossible and officers are having to turn vehicles around.

“Please respect the notice and find an alternative route.”
