People have been stuck in traffic going northbound on the A483 this morning due to a broken down lorry.

Update 12:50pm: We are told recovery has taken place and the road is fully reopened.

Update Midday: We have just been past – and the top picture is the current situation as of 11:55am. There is no recovery taking place that we can see although there is another truck nearby, with police on scene directing traffic around the stricken HGV.

Original information below…

Ali sent us the above picture at 9am saying: “Broken down lorry on A483 northbound just after traffic lights (Dodleston exit) in left lane. Big queues.”

The lorry has broken down just before the ‘Posthouse’ roundabout with the A55.

Kelly said: “Traffic on the bypass through Rossett looks so be on a stand still towards Chester- looks to be backed up quite far – traffic is moving very very slowly.”

The queues remain just before midday as recovery is underway still, with some of the northbound traffic stopped for 20-30 minutes.
