Fire In Johnstown

We had a report in of a house fire around the Snax Garage in Johnstown – as a Wrexham.com’er was out and about that way they popped by but couldnt see anything.

Speaking with the fire service they confirmed a call out at 11:18am to a ‘fire in the open’, which they say was a pile of conifer leaves that had been ignited by a discarded cigarette .

One fire engine attended and one ‘jet’ was used to put it out.

On the way through we did spot a fire engine with ‘Greater Manchester’ on it trundling along the A483 southbound – a little lost!
