As the tail of Storm Ali has hit the area through the day, trains have been affected due to a tree falling.

Arriva Trains Wales have said: “Following a fallen tree between Shrewsbury and Wrexham General, trains have to run at reduced speed.

“Train services running through these stations will be cancelled, delayed by up to 10 minutes or revised.”

Disruption is expected until 6pm this evening.

Earlier, trees fell on various parts of the road network in the area – along with a trampoline getting loose.
