‘Electrical Fault’ Causes Car Fire in Town Centre

Firefighters were this morning called to a vehicle fire in Wrexham town centre.

There were initially concerns that a building was on fire, with reports of heavy smoke in the area.

A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that one crew from Wrexham were called to a vehicle fire near ASAP Signs, Bradley Road at 8:29am.

One hose reel jet and one breathing apparatus was used to extinguish the blaze.

The fire resulted in 100% damage to the engine compartment.

The spokesperson confirmed the fire had been caused by an electrical fault.
