Not even the remains of the snow and chilly weather could keep the Easter crowds away from the annual Easter egg hunt around Erddig.

Set across the snowy courtyards and gardens of the Erddig grounds, the Cadbury egg trail was jam packed over the weekend. For just £2.50, children were provided with a map and booklet to help guide them through the trail before they could claim their chocolate prize.

The egg hunt involved following the map around the grounds, while looking for small nests and eggs that were carefully hidden throughout Erddig. This was an Easter egg hunt with a twist, with participants having to match the images of eggs and birds in their booklet to the ones scattered throughout the grounds.

Alongside the egg hunt, there were plenty of other fun things to do for children, including face painting and a mini Cadbury activity area in one of the courtyards. This included space hoppers, hula hoops and the chance to have a go on mini trampolines.

Even Erddig house embraced the Easter spirit, with little brightly coloured eggs tucked away in various rooms around the house. This in itself provided a great deal of fun for children; many of which were experiencing Erddig house for the first time.
