There’s an early Christmas present in store for those visiting Wrexham town centre over the next few weeks, with free car parking available from tomorrow.

In a move which aims to bring hundreds of shoppers into Wrexham Town Centre during the Christmas season, all council-run car parks will be free to park from today (Thursday 1 December) until Saturday 31 December.

The car parks open for free parking during December are:

– Waterworld
– Crescent Road
– St George’s Crescent
– St Giles
– Market Street
– Library
– The People’s Market (Monday to Saturday only)
– The Guildhall (weekends only)
– Crown Buildings (weekends only)

Normal restrictions do apply and the maximum time you can park for still applies / free parking all day is not available. For example if you park in the Library Car Park it will be free for the two hour maximum period.

Information will be available about this in all Wrexham Council car parks so please make sure you are aware of how long you can park for free.

Cllr Mark Pritchard, Leader of the Council, said: “We want as many people as possible to take advantage of this – the more people make use of free parking at council car parks, the more custom town centre businesses, traders and shoppers will see during the busy Christmas shopping season.”
