Police have been conducting speed checks on the Llan y Pwll Link Road since the start of the week, and have ticketed 19 drivers.

The stretch of road is a common area of complaint from residents and drivers alike, with many complaining that the speed limits are rarely adhered to. Others note that the middle roundabout is often a free for all on lane discipline, and the turnoffs can be dangerous due to the speeds reached.

This week has seen officers from Rota 2 being out an about conducting speed checks, and PC Thomas Hough has said 19 drivers were stopped and ticketed for speeding offences.

The highest speed reading was 104 MPH, described as ‘absolutely disgraceful’.

PC Hough added, “Keep your speed down, you’ve been warned!”
