Rail passengers travelling between Wrexham and Chester are being warned of disruption and potential train cancellations this evening.

The disruption has been caused by a fault with the signalling system between Wrexham General and Chester.

Details posted on the National Rail website say that as a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed or diverted via Shrewsbury. Road transport is also ‘shuttling’ between Wrexham General and Chester.

Disruption to the service is expected until 8pm.
