A man from Rhos will appear in court next month after being charged with drink driving and driving whilst disqualified.

The 44-year-old was stopped by officers in early hours of Sunday on Henblas Road, Rhostyllen due to the manner the vehicle was being driven.

The driver provided a positive breath test reading (128 at the roadside) and was also found to be a disqualified driver.

He was arrested and taken to custody where he provided a further positive reading.

The man will appear before Magistrates Court on March 11th after being charged with drink driving and driving whilst disqualified.

A statement posted online by NWP Roads Policing Unit, said: “Despite our repeated warnings it is disappointing that we continue to catch individuals who are drink or drug driving.

“Our officers work 24 hours a day, seven days a week and anyone who is considering driving whilst under the influence should know that we will be out and about waiting for them – please don’t think the rural nature of the region affords you protection because it doesn’t.

“We will continue to crack down on those who take this unnecessary risk and bring them before the courts.”
