Those aged between 16 and 21 in Wrexham are being invited to apply for card which offers discounted bus travel for commuters.

My Travel Pass, which is funded by the Welsh Government, is free to apply for and entitles users to save approximately 30 per cent on their bus fare.

It has replaced the offer that was only available to 16-18 year olds, but now young people can save on their bus tickets up until their 22nd birthday.

To qualify you just need to have a permanent address in Wales or attend full-time education in Wales.

Cllr David A Bithell, Lead Member for Environment and Transport said: “This is a great national scheme that young people in Wrexham can take advantage of.

“We’re well aware that many young people rely on buses to get to their studies, or to their jobs, so this is something that can help save them some money on their tickets…and the card is completely free too.”

Details of how you can apply for a My Travel Pass and which services you can expect discounted travel on, can be found here.
