Wrexham Council is making the Remembrance Service programme available online for the first time due to growing numbers attending the service.

Paper copies will still be available on a first come first served basis, however pre-empting the numbers attending on Sunday the Council has published the information online today.

Wrexham Council said: “To address the increased numbers attending our annual Remembrance Service at the Cenotaph, Bodhyfryd this Sunday, 8 November, we will be making the Order of Service available on line for members of the public to either download or print and bring with them, for their convenience.

“There will still be copies available on a first come first served basis at the Cenotaph.”

The Service begins at the RWF Memorial, Bodhyfryd at 10.55am and will be officiated by Right Reverend Peter M Brignall, Bishop of Wrexham and Reverend Dr Jason Bray, Vicar of St Giles’ Wrexham.

The Worshipful the Mayor will lay a wreath on behalf of the Council and members of the public are welcome to attend if they wish.

If attending, it should be noted that barriers will be erected at 10.30 a.m. at the following locations to allow the parade to pass safely and secure the surrounding area – Chester Street (adjacent to the former Feathers Public House), Holt Street (by the Welch Fusilier Public House) and Chester Road (near the Chester Road/Powell Road roundabout). Vehicular access to Waterworld Car Park will therefore be unavailable after 10.30 a.m.

Facilities will be available for elderly or infirm persons to follow the Service from inside the Memorial Hall, if they so wish.
