Cyclist taken to hospital after collision in Marchwiel

“We were called on Friday 31 May at approximately 10:15 am to reports of a road traffic accident in Marchwiel, South of Wrexham. We responded with one rapid response vehicle and one ambulance.”

A cyclist has been taken to hospital after a collision in Marchwiel this morning.

Emergency services were called to the incident involving a red fiat and a cyclist at 10:20am.

The collision tool place at the junction of Wrexham Road and Elwyn Drive.

The road is blocked in both directions and an ambulance and first response vehicle are in attendance.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police confirmed that the cyclist has been taken to hospital.

We have contacted the Welsh Ambulance Service and are awaiting further information.
