Cyclist Seriously Injured Near Llangollen

A cyclist has been left with serious injuries following an incident near Llangollen last night.

North Wales Police were contacted at 7pm to say that a man had been found in Abersylio, Llantysilio with serious injuries after falling off his bicycle.

An ambulance was called, however the man was airlifted to hospital in Stoke by the Air Ambulance. He is said to be in a stable condition.

The road was closed for a while whilst investigations continued but re-opened shortly after 9pm.

Police are satisfied that no other vehicles were involved in the incident but are appealing for any witnesses to contact officers at the Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting reference number S088126.
