Council and police to monitor areas across Wrexham for 4×4 events this weekend

Wrexham Council and North Wales Police will be monitoring areas across the county borough this weekend for 4×4 off-roading events.

The local authority says it is aware of such events which “could be damaging to our environment”.

A spokesperson for Wrexham Council said: “We’ll be working with North Wales Police to ensure that our protected woodlands are respected and that off-roading activities adhere to the relevant legislation.

“Please ensure you only attend properly organised and legal events and be aware we will not hesitate to prosecute anyone who is in breach of the legislation.”
