A public consultation over the development of 400 houses in Rhosrobin is currently under way – with a Facebook Page against the proposals being established.

Last week Wrexham.com reported on an outline planning application consisting of the development of 400 houses on designated Green Barrier Space between Rhosrobin and Pandy.

Along with the proposed 400 houses an access road / roundabout would be created on Plas Acton Road.

Currently the land is used as open grazing land is a designated Green Barrier Space in the ‘adopted UDP’ (Unitary Development Plan). The site (as shown below) would see houses built on land nearest Pandy Bridge and spanning up towards the housing development on New Road in Rhosrobin.

Over the past few days residents of Rhosrobin and parts of Pandy have been sent letters requesting for their participation in an online consultation; encouraging those who live in the area to voice their opinions on the proposals.

A Facebook Group opposing the proposed development was launched last night and has already gained over 140 members.

This is the second Rhosrobin / Pandy Housing Application to be submitted in a number of months, with Wrexham’s Planning Committee last month overthrowing recommendations to erect 117 new houses and create a link road in Rhosrobin.
