Wrexham Council are giving away three pairs of tickets to the FA Trophy Final at Wembley on Sunday 29th March.

To be in with a chance to win a pair simply put forward a name for one of the Council’s fleet of 12 gritters. The best 12 will be put forward to a judging panel with the top three getting the tickets.

You can suggest any name you like such as ‘Frosty Freda’ but it must have a “winter weather” theme.

You can enter here by posting your entry or by tweeting @wrexhamcbc using the hashtag #wxmgrit, or by sending your entry with your name, address and telephone details to:

Wembley Ticket Competition, Communications Department, Wrexham County Borough Council, The Guildhall, Wrexham, LL11 1AY to be received no later than the closing time and date below.

Speaking about the competition, Cllr David A Bithell, Lead Member for the Environment and Public Protection, said: “We have looked at putting names on our gritters for some time and wanted to involve the public in the process. The offer of these tickets is just too good an opportunity to miss but the timescales are tight so if you’re going to enter get your thinking hats on fast and send us your entries.”

Closing time and date for entries is 12 noon on 17 March and winners will be announced on Friday 20 March to allow them time to book transport.

The 12 top names will be put on the fleet during April and entrants will have the opportunity to have their photo taken with their named gritter.
