Trevor Basin, the heart of the Pontcysyllte World Heritage Site is to get a spring clean this week.

On Friday a local group will join together to give the site a spring clean ready for the thousands of visitors that are expected to descend on the area.

Officers from the Environment Department from Wrexham Council will be on hand to help out along with members of the community.

Cllr David A Bithell, Lead Member for the Environment, said: “These type of events are an excellent example of how communities can work together to take pride in their areas and the Environment Department is always happy to help wherever possible.”
