UPDATE: At 10:10am SP Energy confirmed that all supplies have been restored and thanked people for their patience.

Original details below…

A resident on Ruthin Road has been in touch just after 8:30am this morning saying they heard a ‘colossal bang’, and then moments later their power failed.

Another person further up the road mentioned that the power issue has affected the traffic lights along Ruthin Road, and traffic issues were developing within five minutes.

SP Energy Networks have since tweeted to say: “We are aware of a #POWERCUT in #LL11 #LL14 #Wrexham. Our engineers are making their way to site and will work to restore the supplies.”

More shortly.
