Original Story:

A road traffic collision just before rush hour on the new link road to the Wrexham Industrial Estate caused the road close temporarily.

Police received a call at 4:25pm to reports of one vehicle with smoke coming out of it, believed to be a result of a collision.

The main visible damage was to a red clio which had a large impact on the front end of the car. Sand was seen being placed on the road to soak up spilled fuel, and police reopened the carriageway shortly after.

Two people were treated for shock, however no one is believed to be hurt.

Diversions were put in place to redirect traffic around the incident however the roads are now back open.
