Coleg Cambria staff and students used the extra day this leap year to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The leap day saw students at the college’s Yale and Bersham sites taking many of their fundraising activities into Wrexham town centre.

They sang and danced during a Flash Mob at Eagles’ Meadow, made pizzas, sold balloons and wooden planters in Queen’s Square as well as decorating the trees there with green fabrics to raise awareness of the charity day.

Back at the college sites, there was a cycling marathon at Bersham and a special Bowie tribute performance and buskin session at the Yale theatre.
