Clwyd South Member joins North Wales Police patrol in Wrexham
The Clwyd South Member recently took part in a North Wales Police patrol in Wrexham.
Ken Skates MS was taken out by Sgt Nathan Harvey in the Wrexham Rural policing area, which includes large parts of his constituency.
The patrol included visits to Brymbo, Cefn Mawr, Coedpoeth, Johnstown, Penycae, Rhos and Ruabon, and Mr Skates said it was an eye-opening experience.
“It was a really interesting morning, and it was great to get out with Nathan and get an idea of what our frontline officers are dealing with day to day in keeping the public safe,” said Mr Skates.
“We weren’t called to respond to anything serious, thankfully, but it was a really good opportunity to catch up and discuss some of the current issues officers are tackling in our area.”
North Wales Police officers will be joining Mr Skates at his upcoming autumn surgeries and will be on hand to discuss any police matters constituents would like to raise.
The surgeries will take place at:
- Plas Madoc Leisure Centre on Friday, September 23 (3pm-4pm)
- Plas Pentwyn, Coedpoeth on Friday, October 7 (10am-11am)
- Overton Village Hall on Friday, October 21 (3pm-4pm)
No appointments are necessary, but the surgeries are only for those who live in Clwyd South.
