Chester Street Closed Due To Man On Roof

Chester Street was closed off early this evenig after a man gained access to a roof of a nearby building.

The man was on top of the Walker Smith and Way solicitors building, with Wrexham.com reader Chet sending us the following picture:

One eye witness to the initial police response around 5:20pm said they saw several police cars and around twenty police people attending.

Another told us the man had been throwing what appeared to be roof tiles at the police, and office workers were kept inside their buildings for their own safety.

The incident appeared to end just after 7pm.
