Changes to Arriva No 1 service announced while Gresford Roundabout roadworks take place

Those who travel on the Wrexham to Chester Arriva bus service are being advised of some weekend route changes which will be in place later this month.

The temporary changes will be in place as a result of resurfacing works on the Gresford Roundabout.

Last week Wrexham.com reported that there will be road closures in place on the roundabout between 8pm on Friday 28th June and 6am on Monday 1st July.

A week later there will be a similar closure between Friday 5th July at 8pm and 6am on Monday 8th July.

As a result Arriva Buses Wales have confirmed that there will be diversions to its service No1 service between Wrexham and Chester and the return journey.

Details on the Arriva website, states:

A road closure between Wrexham and Rossett will cause the diversion of service 1 during the following periods:

From 8pm on Friday 28th June until 6am on Monday 1st July 2019
From 8pm on Friday 5th July until 6am on Monday 8th July 2019

During the period of closure buses will not be able to serve Garden Village, Acton Smithy, Gresford and Marford, and will operate as follows:

Buses from Wrexham to Chester

These will operate via Mold Road football ground, A483, Rossett and then normal route to Chester.

Buses from Chester to Wrexham

These will operate normal route to Rossett then divert via A483 and Mold Road football ground.
