Fire crews and police attended the scene of a car fire by Montgomery Road late this evening.

The incident has taken place close to Montgomery Road in Wrexham and involved one vehicle.

The Fire and Rescue Service have confirmed they attended, and were called at 10:48pm.

One hose reel was used along with breathing apparatus, and unsurprisingly going by the picture, 100% interior damage was confirmed.

We confirmed that it was a Wrexham appliance that attended the incident.

Thanks to Steve for the two pictures from the scene.

Currently there are also several fire crews up in Deeside, with a large scale incident at paper mill, involving crews from Deeside, Mold, Holywell, Wrexham, Buckley and Flint.

We have enquired locally on the response time due to that incident and possible impact on local resources, and we are told by a resident fire crews were on scene to the car fire in around three minutes.
