Police forensic teams have discovered what are thought to be cannabis plants and drug-related equipment in a raid earlier today.

This afternoon police forensic teams attended an address on Ruabon Road, Pen-y-Bryn and removed the suspected plants.  An onlooker reported the attending vehicles at 2.14PM and they were still in attendance when our roving reporter drove past an hour later.

A spokesman for North Wales Police said investigations were continuing:- “Following information police have attended an address in Pen Y Bryn, Wrexham and removed what are suspected to be cannabis plants and drug cultivating  equipment. The operation is ongoing.”
