Can you keep four feet firmly on the ground and looking for a stable career? If so, make hay! As this could be the job for you.

Earlier today the National Trust released a rather unusual advert for staff – with the search on to find two new horses to join their ranks and work in the beautiful surroundings of Erddig in Wrexham.

The once in a lifetime job opportunity comes after horses Jerry and Claire retired after 34 years of combined service.

So what does the job entail? Well it’s a whinnying job for those who enjoy working outdoors, you have to be be willing to muck in and get your hooves dirty and enjoy feeling the wind through your hair.

Erddig are looking for someone who is ‘tenacious’, isn’t ‘blinkered by neighsayers’ and enjoys ‘swishing their tail’.

The salary is described as ‘competitive’, with the successful applications also guaranteed the occasional work place bonus of some ‘tasty treats’.

Do you feel like you’re the mane person for the role and can you bale Erddig out of this situation? Then it’s time to take the reins and get in touch!
