Police teams have been continuing their searches around the Rossett area throughout today.

Cheshire Police have been conducting ongoing activity on both sides of the bypass in connection with the arrest of rape suspect Peter Watton who was apprehended close by on Thursday evening.

Sections of the bypass were temporarily down to a single lane of traffic as work was carried out on the verges and nearby hedgerows. Similar searches have been carried out over the weekend.

It is locally rumored that a ‘camp’ had been found, including a tent, close to the railway line.
