Bus Electrical Fault Blocks Holt Road
Holt Road from the Greyhound Pub towards town was all but closed off after an issue with a bus.
An update has been provides from Pats Coaches regarding the incident on Holt Road telling us that a call was made by the driver to express concern regarding the smell.
“After inspection at the side of the road a small electrical fault in the battery bay caused the smell and fire brigade was called as a precaution and was not required.
“Pats Coaches would like to reassure the coach was empty at the time and it was only a minor defect.”
Original information below…

One eyewitness has said the situation is ‘calm’.
Alison tells us “Police and fire brigade doing a great job. Greyhound roundabout and Dean Rd Cefn Rd affected. Avoid if possible”
Penny told us of a ‘vile smell’ suspecting a possible clutch or other issue with the vehicle.
The fire service confirmed they attended the incident, with one crew and an ‘electrical fault’ was dealt with.
Thankfully no injuries have been reported.
