Brymbo Post Office is to close on Tuesdays until further notice.

The Post Office, operated by the Brymbo Enterprise Centre on Blast Road, currently operates Monday to Friday 9.30am until 5pm from the reception desk at the centre which is run as a charitable organisation.

In 2013 the Post Office was taken over by the Centre following the retirement of the previous sub postmaster and operates under a different model.

Commenting on the changes County Councillor Paul Rogers said “As Councillor I am disappointed that the Post Office will have to close one day a week”

“This is a result of reductions in income as a result of the pandemic. As with many businesses the Enterprise Centre has had to make difficult decisions to ensure that the Centre is still there in long run.”

“The Charitable Trust which runs the Centre is looking at options for possible grant funding to allow it to return to normal service and hope that this will happen as soon as possible”

Cllr Rogers is also calling on Royal Mail to locate a Post Box outside of the Centre on Blast Road so that residents can post their mail outside of Post Office opening hours.
