A broken down train near Shotton has caused delays throughout the afternoon for travellers.

The Arriva Wales Train broke down shortly after midday near Rockeliffe Hall in Shotton.

Services from Chester towards Bangor and Holyhead have resumed but disruption will continue for a while due to train crew and unit dislocation.

Trains are now running between Chester and Llandudno, although there may be delays of up to 40 minutes.

These delays are expected to last until around 3:30 this afternoon.
